Text From A Friend is an award winning luxury cards and stationery brand. Our designs are inspired by texts, written by hand, then hand foiled and hand finished using sustainable materials.

Some have anti-social messages. Some don't. Take your pick.

The Who

So, this is me, Sharon Caddie and I'm an Art Director/Designer based in Glasgow. Since graduating from Glasgow School Of Art I've worked on many brands, big and small, including the BBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale Bank, hotel chains, retail stores, yoga experts, autism professionals and even the world of pole dancers over the years and I've won a few awards for it all.

You can check out my design work over at if you fancy a nosy. And if you want to collaborate, need some art direction, branding or even some foil printing, then get in touch.

The What

Text From A Friend started when I was heartily amused by the text messages some of my friends sent me. I scribbled their quips, posted them on social media. And so began requests to turn them into cards and prints.

The Why

I've always had a passion for paper and the smell of print (who doesn't?) and never been one to produce a paper product without using the finest of materials. The cards are initially hand drawn and made using only the poshest of paper and a traditional printing technique with a hand hot foil press to create fine pieces of (sometimes) anti-social media.

Custom Orders

I've collaborated with retailers to produce custom greetings cards for their stores, business cards and note cards as well as branded stationery. Bespoke cards can be designed and printed for weddings and engagements or for any occasion.
