Introduce yourself and your store.Hi, I'm Gayle and and own Willow Boutique in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. I sell babywear, toys, womenswear, gifts and cards. 

At this time of year, small independent businesses and those on our high street need the support of customers. It's easy to shop online with the big retailers. You know who I mean and I'm guilty of it too for the convenience. But spare a thought for how you can shop local and support your community.

Introduce yourself and your store.My name is James Rennie and I own Ryan James Studio, an independent menswear store in the heart of Glasgow that curates quality clothing, grooming and accessory brands from the UK and Europe.

Who are you/what do you do?My name is Rory Hutton, I am an accessories and print designer. Is there a story behind the name (if it's not your own?)You would have to ask my parents.

Yes, that's right. I never thought for a minute that when I entered the PaperAwards organised by Top Drawer that I would have been shortlisted, never mind the winner. It was a last-minute decision to enter that new category as usually I only ever entered my greetings cards, but it's always a tough one as there are so many brilliant brands out there.
